What is chiropractic care?

Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-surgical science that does not involve the use of pharmaceuticals or invasive surgery. Chiropractic care focuses on the musculoskeletal and nervous systems of the body. Chiropractors are highly trained to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate disorders throughout the body, but the practice is often associated with treating only the spine. Services include spinal adjustments, muscle therapy, rehabilitation, exercises and guidance on ergonomic, nutrition and lifestyle choices that affect the health concerns of the patient.

Improper alignment of the vertebrae in the spine is often the main cause of pain throughout the body as it causes pressure and irritation of the nervous system. An improper alignment is referred to as subluxation. Chiropractic treatments involve carefully applied pressure to gently adjust the vertebrae and joints to restore mobility and release the pressure on the nervous system. Pain is stopped as nerves can resume their normal flow of energy and the musculoskeletal system is returned to a balanced state.

Patients come to chiropractors for a variety of neuro-musculoskeletal complaints, such as:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Headaches, migraines
  • Arthritis
  • Pain in arms or legs
  • Repetitive overuse injuries
  • Sports injuries
  • Auto accidents
  • Whiplash injuries
  • Work-related injuries
  • Fatigue
  • Dizziness
  • Indigestion
  • Sinus problems

Physical therapy

ChiroLife is pleased to offer physical therapy services alongside chiropractic care under one roof.  Our physical therapy team is highly trained to help patients improve movement functionality and relieve pain.  Through a combination of manual skills, exercise and therapies, physical therapy can help you move freely without pain and prevent future injuries.

Following your visit, our care team will design an individualized physical therapy and exercise program for your ongoing recovery.  You will learn and practice the movements in the office to ensure you are able to continue to care for yourself at home.

Post-surgical rehabilitation

ChiroLife is dedicated to helping patients heal faster and more completely following surgery. Our post-surgical rehabilitation services will help you recover with a program designed for you.

How well a person recovers from orthopedic surgery is largely due to the effectiveness of their rehabilitation program and whether they are able to follow the program correctly. Inadequate or neglected post-operative rehabilitation is often the main reason that patients continue to experience pain after surgery.

At ChiroLife, we make it simple for you. We teach you step-by-step to make sure you understand the rehab program prescribed before you leave. Our programs adapt with your progress as you regain strength and range of motion.  The individualized attention and support you receive from ChiroLife will help you to achieve complete recovery.
